Making waves and watching them disappear

Happiness is: Making waves, watching them spread, watching them disappear.

Here, you see waves that I made by gently rocking a small row boat. You see them radiating away from me…

Below, I set off a set of waves.

And watched it travel away, over the lake, the water quickly returning to the smooth, undisturbed surface it had before I interrupted it.

See how the set of wave is traveling away from us still, while the water surface inside and outside of the wave ring is almost completely flat?

And now the waves are only visible at the far end of the pond, and the reflection close to me is back to almost perfect.
