I’ve been trying to take good pictures of drops falling on water for a while now, but somehow it always ends up meh-ish. These kind of situations look so pretty when you are watching, but then pictures never do them justice.

But then my mom sent me the picture below. Doesn’t it look like an impressionist painting?

And zooming out you might be surprised that the lily pond is actually pretty small:But this picture has inspired me to set up a dripper so that I have full control over the conditions, and take pictures of drops falling on water. One day, that is – right now I’m pretty comfy on my couch :-)
